Calm your knickers, love!

This painting is a response to the casual sexism women still face every day—often laughed off, often dismissed. Inspired by a friend who was publicly told to “calm her knickers” on a page with tens of thousands of followers, it challenges the normalisation of misogyny disguised as humour. When 80 plus people laughed, it stops being a joke and starts being a warning. This work is part of an ongoing refusal to let "being a girl" be weaponised as an insult. It’s tiring. It’s boring. And we’re done with it.
